Infomaniak's offices

Founded in 1996, Infomaniak Network SA was created by the founders of Infomaniak SNC (1994). The founders Fabian Lucchi and Boris Siegenthaler hold a majority share.

The concept

Give priority to investing in quality and support. Develop our tools and products in-house. Own and control our own datacentres. Allow all our customers to benefit from our expertise in order to reduce and spread our development costs.

Operations

Infomaniak Network operates from its offices in Geneva, in Switzerland, where all the company’s employees work and where our two datacentres are located. It was this very region that saw the birth of the Web, invented by Tim Berners Lee in 1989 at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN).

With a turnover of 8 million euros in 2009, Infomaniak Network SA maintains sustained growth from year to year.

2010 will herald the start of exponential growth for our company, with the launch of new, high-end products. Our company has more than 30 employees, and hosts XXXXX domain names and more than 1 million email addresses on our infrastructure. We work with more than 600 partner companies, which specialise in website development.

History and development

March 2008	Installation of our 2nd datacentre Setting up of a strict ecological charter that commits the company to more than 30 points and is developed further each year.
January 2007	Now we are the 2nd largest Swiss hosting company with more than 40,000 domains, and we are entering the top 10 of the biggest hosting companies in Belgium wiht more than 2000 customers nationwide.
November 2006	More than 50 FM radios use our Internet streaming solution. Major groups like Radio Suisse Romande, NRJ, Fun Radio or Oui FM entrust us with broadcasting their radio over the Internet. Infomaniak is becoming one of the main players in Europe when it comes to streaming.
September 205	Hosting more than 30,000 domains, Infomaniak is now the 3rd hosting company nationwide.
July 2005	Infomaniak is becoming a leader in Internet radio broadcasting, in French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France, with 90% of FM radios using our audio streaming solution.
February 2005	From now on our software platform overall and all the peripheral tools will be developed by our programmers in Geneva (except our anti-virus solution). This allows us to have total control of our tools and to stand out with one-of-a-kind technological innovation when compared to our rivals.
November 2004	35% of our growth is abroad. This now proves that our know-how is not the result of regional demand and that the quality of our hosting services can compete on an international level.
March 2004	Our company is the premier Swiss hosting company for .com, .net, .org and .info.
February 2002	Hosting more than 3000 sites, Infomaniak Network SA is the premier hosting company in French-speaking Switzerland.
December 2001	We focus our development work exclusively on Unix/Linux solutions so that we are no longer at the mercy of the bugs on Microsoft's operating systems.
October 2000	We have created our own datacentre in order to have control of all our servers and provide immediate response times for hardware operations.
January 2000	Our company specialises in hosting websites. The aim being to concentrate all the time and skills in the company on a very high-end product while keeping the rates very attractive in relation to the strength of our services.
